Mine to Bleed, a song about holding on to our passions despite knowing they could lead us to disappointment, employs the unique and distinctive sound elements of Season of the Crow. Intricate harmonies and progressive rhythms are combined with intriguing lyrical content that is born out of life experience.

Gavin Carignan, drummer and songwriter for Season of the Crow says about the song: “Being an optimist, a dreamer, and a romantic has led me to disappointment and pain many times, but I refuse to learn my lesson.” The lyrics in the chorus brilliantly express this sentiment: “Glorified the daydream, but this heart is mine to bleed.” Part of the upcoming album, Let it Fly, the song Mine to Bleed is said to have “radio quality” and is the most catchy tune on the album, with a groove that is compelling throughout, and a performance that projects conviction and defiance.
